Build a successful & profitable business with social media

As business owners, we’re just trying to figure out what it’s going to take to be successful and profitable in the most effective way possible, which is why I’m going to break down how you can build a successful and profitable business with social media. I have been in this game since 2009, being a social media marketer in 2009 wasn’t even a job that really existed. So I think I’ve got some years and a whole crap ton of experience to help make this dream possible for you. I’ve worked with hundreds of businesses and have been able to figure out what’s going to work for you so that you can find success. Getting Started When you’re getting started, you’re actually going to dive into what your objectives and goals are with your social media. It can’t be something as lame as like, “Oh, I want to get sales.” Sales is the objective of everything, making money as our bottom line. So let’s just assume that that’s everyone’s goal. And what we’re going to figure out is, what are the other goals that you want to attach to your social media? Do you want to make a hundred thousand dollars a month? Do you want to build your list to 10,000 people? Are you trying to promote yourself as an expert in your industry? What are the very specific goals that you want to set and how do you want to accomplish them on social media? By having those very clearly defined, it’s going to make everything that you’re going to create, produce, and funnel make sense for you because your bottom line, which is the goal and the objective is all that truly matters. Social media is just a really fun way to get to that goal. Know Your Audience Now you need to study and know your audience. This goes into knowing who your perfect customer is, who would you sell to? Who would you love to work with? By knowing exactly who this person is, you’re going to be able to, again, get those goals and objectives met sooner. And you’re also going to be able to funnel in a lot of these other things that we’re going to talk about. You have to know who you’re talking to. That’s how this whole marketing thing works. You have to know who you’re talking to. So you know exactly how to phrase things where you should be, what you need to offer them and how you’re going to do that. I know that you are here because you want to build your business profitably and how you’re going to do that is because I’m relating to you, because I too am a business owner. I have lots of experience and you definitely came for the information, but stay for the sassiness. That is what we’re here to do. I know you. You don’t know me. I know your objectives. I know your struggle, which is why you are here reading this blog. Now, once you know who you’re talking to, you’re going to be able to figure out where it is that they spend their time online. Finding Your Audience Not everybody’s social media habits are the same. Some demographics really like Facebook. Some demographics like Instagram. Some people are really into Twitter. Some people are really into Clubhouse. Some people are really into YouTube. You have to pick the platform that’s going to talk to the greatest portion of your audience. I know mine, a platform for talking to people is on YouTube. But I also know that my secondary platform is actually going to be on Instagram because that’s where I can connect with people in a totally new, fun way versus like what I do here, which is inform you and educate you in long article form. Over there, I’m having fun, maintaining, informing and inspiring. So I know where you like to spend your time, which is why you’re here. You need to figure out where your people spend most of their time and you usually can dive into it by those demographics. Now, once you pick the platform, you need to study the kind of content that performs best on that platform. How to post on the best platform For the most part, you can probably bank on the fact that video of some kind is going to be in a really important part of what you’re going to create. If it’s Instagram, doing stories and reels is really vital to your success. If you’re on YouTube, long form content is going to be successful. If you’re doing something on Facebook or Twitter, you’re going to probably want short form video content. Whatever the mediums are that performed best on those platforms, you need to figure out what those are and study them and analyze them so that you’re going to be able to create content that’s going to be effective for your audience to accomplish your objectives and goals. Do you like how I like it brought that all back around? Can you do what is needed or do you need help With the studying of what kind of content you should be creating and what’s going to perform best. You’re also going to need to tap into the like, “Am I skilled enough to make this happen?” So a little story about your girl Desiree from day one, day one of being on YouTube, I have had an editor. That’s right. I knew it was so important for me to be here to help you, that I needed to remove any barrier I had that as a mom, as a military wife and an entrepreneur running a business, and this amount of time to do it and trying to add in this other thing of doing video editing was not a skill I was willing to develop or something I was willing to sacrifice that time for. So by

From day ONE of being on YouTube, I have had an editor. I knew it was so important for me to be creating content on YouTube to help you that I needed to remove any barrier I had that would stop me from being on YouTube. As a mom, a military wife, and an entrepreneur I had a ton to do and not a lot of of time to do it. Trying to add in this other thing to all the things I was already doing, video editing was just not a skill I was willing to develop or something I was willing to sacrifice time to learn. By hiring an editor, I was able to take out that barrier and in-turn accomplished what I need to get accomplished with my YouTube channel. When you’re really analyzing the kind of content you need to create for specific platforms, look at the skills that you have that can allow for you to create that content. Then decide, if you need help to get them done. Lead Capture Next, you’re going to need to figure out what your lead capture is. A lead capture is going to be how people can continue to connect with you via email. The money is in the list. You need to make sure that you have a way to offer your audience extra value through a lead capture and in-turn, you’re going to be able to communicate with them on the regular, through that

Now, if you wanna have success on Instagram or any social network for that matter, you are going to need an effective content marketing plan. Which is why I have a free worksheet that you can grab down right here! It’s gonna guide you through this process. How do I grow? I am always trying to figure out the best way to help my customers, and of course, you guys who are out there on the YouTubes. One of the things I’m always trying to figure out & people always ask me is, how do I grow on Instagram? What is the right strategy and how am I gonna make this work? And of course, how do I do it quickly without losing all of my time? Now as busy business owners, I respect your time really which is why I have the perfect solution for you and all of your Instagram growth needs. I would like to introduce you to a Dollar Eighty. A Dollar Eighty A Dollar Eighty is a Chrome extension that you add onto your browser that syncs up with your Instagram and allows for you to comment on other Instagram posts. A Dollar Eighty has come from the simple math that you should be giving your 2 cents on a minimum of 9 posts with 10 hashtags every single day. And that ultimately adds up to a $1.80. With this tool, it definitely streamlines the process. Before you had to go onto your phone, it was really manual, it was really slow because you were using your thumbs and it’s a whole thing. But with this Chrome extension, you’re able to easily add in the hashtags that are the most relevant to you, so that you’re able to go in and comment on the posts that makes sense to you and those 10 hashtags, and you’re gonna be able to grow your engagement. Does it really work…? Now, I am always super skeptical when it comes to new tools and new methods and ways of doing things. But this has been a strategy that has been around for a few years and Gary Vee swears by it and a lot of other Instagram professionals and educators out there swear by it as well. Before I present anything to you, I always check it myself and I was completely blown away by the results. I personally find it kind of slow and steady wins the race when it comes to Instagram but by adding in this strategy, I was able to increase my follower count by 4.5% in a matter of 30 days. While that might not sound like a lot to you, it was a lot to me because usually I’m in the like 1%, if I’m lucky range for monthly growth. Additionally, my impressions went up 90% and my profile visits went up 125%. What this means is that my profile was seen interacted with and engaged with more over the course of the 30 days I was using the Dollar Eighty versus what we were doing before. We’re always trying to drive traffic to our websites, where you can collect the data and people can learn more about our products and services. I had an increase of 180% on my website clicks from my profile. Overall thoughts If you have been on this channel before, you know that content creation is a big part of what I’m encouraging you to do. And I tend to show up every single day on Instagram with a new post. While I’m always trying different styles of posts and different ways to present things to you, studying the analytics and finding the right time, I still found that my content engagement increased a lot with the help of Dollar Eighty. Overall, it went up 13.5% and very specifically to stories, it went up 130%. All right, now that you are sold on this tool and you wanna check it out, let’s head over to the computer where I’m gonna to show you how to get started. Check out my video below for a visual: Now you can check out a Dollar Eighty for free with my link that I have here. Remember, you are impossibly amazing!
Complete Facebook Marketing Strategy for 2021

As Facebook continues to be the number one social network used by most people, it is important to make sure that your business is using it correctly. So in this post, I’m gonna give you 11 business strategies to help you grow your business organically on Facebook. The key to anything that comes into doing things on Facebook is gonna start with a killer content strategy. I have a free content planning worksheet for right here that you should definitely go grab before we dive into this. Algorithm The first thing that it’s important for you to know is we really need to understand how the algorithm works. This is gonna dictate how you’re going to create and do things on Facebook. So stick with me here ’cause this is a little explanation-y, but it’s gonna be really important as we continue through our other 10 topics. The objective of anything that you post on Facebook is to show it to as much of your target audience as possible. With every single post that happens on Facebook, whether it’s in a group, a personal page or a business page, it’s going to receive a score. That score is gonna determine how the whole post will succeed or fail on the news feed. The most important thing with understanding the score is that everything that gets posted has to be relevant to the user. Imagine you’re posting something about your baby on Facebook but you have some friend over here that’s a single person who hates children. The likelihood of Facebook putting that piece of content in front of them is very minimal. They’ve proven to the Facebook algorithm that they are very uninterested in that content. User activity will determine who sees what. It’s gonna come from a score of highest to lowest. Every single person’s news feed algorithm is different. That’s over 2 billion unique news feeds! So it’s really important to make sure that what you’re creating is very specific to your target demographic. What determines a successful post on Facebook? There are three factors that come into the success of a post. These are going to be engagement, who posted it and the post age. When it comes to engagement, obviously, it’s gonna be things like comments, emojis, sharing, likes, not likes, hearts, all that stuff, and of course who clicks on the links that you have on your page. When it comes to who posted it, Facebook’s gonna continue to serve your content to the people that are engaging. If you’re not already getting a lot of engagement, you basically will be dying a slow death on Facebook. So it’s important to make sure that what you’re creating is engaging and hopping. And I have some pointers for you – don’t worry. When it comes to post age, the older it is, the lower the score is. That is why you usually have about a 48-hour shelf life on Facebook for your post to be relevant and matter. Now, when you post something new, how does that post get seen by the algorithm? Well, it will service your content to a small group of people that are most likely to engage with it. If they see that that group is engaging with it, they’re gonna show it to more people to try and increase the reach to keep the engagement growth alive for that post, which is why when you first post something, it’s important to make sure that when you post and what you post has the best chance for success. So this leads into our next one, which is you want to create quality content. Quality Content Now, there is a lot of bad stuff on the internet. We know people need to get it together when it comes to creating content and stop being so dang lazy. I am sure that so many of you have scrolled right on past those generic stock photos that have a bitly link and probably have some kind of branding in the corner. No one’s buying it. You need to make sure that what you’re posting is visually appealing and something that you would actually choose to engage with yourself. So some tips for you are gonna be: Link overload You don’t wanna post a link on every single thing that you do. Even if you have a really great image that is engaging, maybe has cool texts or teaching them something, if everything that you’re posting has a link to something, it’s gonna get old real quick. And of course, Facebook doesn’t want you to always be taking people outside of the platform. So try to be engaging and interactive without taking people away from the platform they are on. Be personable This is something that is really hard for older brands and big companies. It’s like, how can I be personable and relatable when I’m trying to be this big brand entity? And the best way to do that is to just remember that you are talking to people and you are a person yourself. Show up in that way and it’s gonna be really helpful for you to connect personally because that’s what people want. Call-to-Action Make sure your post has a call to action or a CTA to engage. This is gonna be where you ask them a question at the end. Leave a specific emoji response, like thumbs up if you like this or heart if you loved this or a sad face and tell me why didn’t like it down below. Whatever’s happening, give that specific call to action within the post that has nothing to do with clicking a link. Share and show emotion You wanna connect with people in a way that’s gonna make them be like, huh, I really feel something. This is what’s gonna make me connect with this brand even
Fonts on Facebook – How to Change!

I bet you’ve seen people use cutesy little fonts on Facebook and you’re wondering how to do the same. Write out your messaging Search ‘unicode text converter‘ into Google Paste your text Choose your favorite font! Copy and paste into Facebook Design your post with different fonts for different phrases or words And that’s it! My blog and my YouTube channel have tons of information to help you grow your business with content marketing. Remember, you are impossibly amazing!
How To Use Instagram Branded Content Tool

The branded content tool on Instagram is super helpful for creators and business alike. First, you’ll need to make sure your account is set up as a Creator or Business account. It’s all about preference for which one you choose. I prefer the Business account because I think it offers more insights and analytics. Branded Content By setting up your branded content tool, you’ll be able to tag businesses for paid partnerships as well as approve people to access your content. This allows brands to work with creators more directly and holds both parties accountable! Let’s head over to the phone. Check out my video below for a visual: Click the 3 lines at the top right Go to ‘Settings’ Select your business / creator account Click ‘Branded Content Approvals’ You can add approved business partners, allow manual tagging, and view your tag requests. I recommend having ‘Manually Approve Tags’ kept on. When you want to make a post, start by creating it how you normally would, whether it’s a feed post, story, or reel. Make sure it says ‘paid promotion’ when you are publishing to be sure it’s branded! My blog and YouTube channel have all sorts of other tutorials for Instagram, Facebook and more!
Instagram Content Strategy for 2021

If you’re here, you’re trying to figure out what is it that you’re going to do on Instagram to be effective in your business. I’m gonna teach you everything you need to know to plan, research, and create great engaging content to grow your business on Instagram. I have predicted that Instagram is going to take over as the number one social network on the web, replacing Facebook, and I think that’s saying something considering the fact that I’ve been on Facebook for over 15 years. Now, the basis of anything that we do in content marketing for whatever platform it is, you definitely want to make sure that you have a content plan. I want you to grab my freebie that I have for you here so that you can kind of work along with this video from start to finish. Setting goals With that content planning worksheet, the first step is going to be planning with a goal. It’s very important to make sure that anything that you’re putting on the internet has a very specific purpose, and Instagram is no different. Even though you might be accomplishing what you want to with an image or a video or a carousel post, it’s important to make sure that what you’re posting accomplishes a goal. That is why you need to think, “What is it that I need from my audience with this post?” This isn’t always going to be “Go buy from me”. It also isn’t going to be, “Go to my link in my bio” or “Click and go buy something from me.” It can also be things like engagement or shares or views or awareness. So when you’re creating every piece of content, when you’re working through your messaging and what content you’re going to create to support that messaging, you want to make sure that you know what your goal is for that post. If you don’t have a goal for your post, the post should not exist. Ideal Customer Then knowing who your perfect customer is is something that we need to have across the board when it comes to your marketing, and this applies to Instagram too. You want to make sure that you know exactly who you’re talking to. That way, when you’re reviewing your analytics and your insights, you can make sure that that content is hitting that demographic you’re trying to work with and be engaging with your content. If maybe you’re trying to reach women under the age of 30 who have kids, but for some reason you keep getting all of these 40 plus year old women who have kids, it probably isn’t that you’re making the right content for the demographic you’re trying to reach or you need to pivot into content for that other demo. So it’s really important to know who you’re talking to and what you’re going to need to create for them. Research Next, we’re going to research. I want you to spend time scrolling through Instagram and finding content that you really love. Spend time in the discovery section, watch reels, watch Instagram TV videos. Get a feel for the kind of content you like to consume and that you can create. I know that what I do when I am scrolling through my feed where I not only am following businesses and people that I love it, that I’m inspired by, I’m also following specific hashtags so I can find really fun content, usually engaging quotes and pictures that pump me up, so that I’m able to use those as inspiration for future pieces of content. I also do this with reels too. Reels is gonna be an important part of our creation strategy that we’ll talk about near the end of this video. I watch reels and I’m like, “How could I use this song “or this concept for my own brand, “my own business, my own mission?” And I’m like, “Can I or can’t I?” No, and then usually I move best. I also have, not gonna lie to you guys, I’ve read a lot of really great, fun tutorials and things I did not know in Instagram reels, so it’s also kind of entertaining and a learning opportunity for me as well. But make sure that you’re researching and saving the kind of content that you like, that inspires you, that can help you when you get into the creation process. Content Ideas Now, once you’ve researched, you have your plan, your goals, now I need to create pillars or buckets that we want to put our content into. I think it’s very important to make sure that when you’re creating your content, that you have specific buckets that you kind of fit your content into. So for myself, I usually sit in three buckets. It’s going to be personal relatable content, the Women of YouTube podcasts, and then stuff related to content marketing. With these three pillars, I know exactly what kind of content I need to be making and how it’s gonna work for my schedule and what’s going on. You need to establish what those pillars are for you. Not just one – you need to be able to have at least three different kinds of content that you are talking about. Now, once you’ve established those pillars, you’re gonna need to create hashtags to go with them. Instagram Hashtags You’re gonna wanna research what hashtags are most often associated with your kind of business and the demographic that you’re trying to check out. I have a tutorial on using allhashtags.com, which you can find up in the cards right now, which breaks down for you, how to search for hashtags, find them and create a list of them that you can keep using over and over again for your posts. Brand Image We need to make sure that we’re establishing a
How Businesses Can Make Extra 5-figure Income

I got onto YouTube because I needed to have a way to bring leads into my service-based business when my air force family was getting relocated to the other side of the world. What’s happened since then has been truly amazing – which is why I wanna share with you how I make an income for my service-based business because of YouTube. Because of the longevity of this channel, the amount of content that I have produced, and how long I have been in the social media and content marketing space, I have been able to have a multiple six-figure business from this channel that starts here. Let’s get into it That’s what All-In-One Social Media, my agency, brings in. I’m not here to break that down for you because I gotta keep some things a little bit of a mystery and also makes my husband a little uncomfortable. Regardless, these are the numbers I am ready to share with you because I want you to know that you can make a significant amount of money on YouTube as a service-based business. At the time of this recording, I have around 17,500 subscribers on my YouTube channel. I am somewhere in the vicinity of 1.3 million views and I have hundreds of videos uploaded to this channel. I make money in multiple ways, including affiliate marketing, sponsorship, YouTube ads, speaking opportunities, and of course my book. Now some of these might not apply to you, but for the most part, you can do it with all of these. Let’s start with the big one first: affiliate marketing. Affiliate Marketing For a quick breakdown – affiliate marketing is where you partner with an online service or tool or product and you’re able to get a percentage of the sales based on you promoting their product. Now, if you have been watching any of my videos in the past, you know, that some of my partners include Stream Yard, TubeBuddy, Kapwing and Sendible, which are my four favorite tools that I have built a great relationship with because I first and foremost was a fan of their tool and a user of their tool. I was like, look, I have to do more with you guys. I love what you’re doing and I want to promote you and share you with people because I think that you would benefit greatly from them. And so with those, I am able to get a percentage of every sale because all of those businesses have established an affiliate program. By getting myself established with their affiliate program, every time someone clicks my links that I have down in the description below to sign up for the service or check out that service. That little cookie gets implanted on your phone or on your computer. Whenever you sign up and then you start paying for the service, if you decide to, I get a percentage of that every single month. Now is it monumental amounts of money? No. Can it be? Of course! I have some very good friends who are just full-time YouTubers who make somewhere in the vicinity of five to six figures from some of the affiliate programs that they partner with. Show me the money! Here are the financial breakdowns. So here’s most of the brands I’ve been working with who are paying me in affiliate marketing fees, based on what’s going on. These include StreamYard, Kapwing, Tube Buddy, Sendible, Convert Kit, Live Pigeon, and Amazon. Between these seven platforms, I have made $3,278.29 in 2020. Now what’s really great about affiliate marketing is it definitely rolls from year to year. As people continue to keep using the tools and more and more people find out about the tools from watching my videos, that will continue to snowball. So you can believe that in 2021 those numbers will actually be higher. Now, if you’re trying to figure out how you can use affiliate marketing for your business, you’re gonna need to look at what are the tools that you are using? Or the products that you talk about and use all the time? How could you partner with those brands to get a residual income from them? It’s not gonna hurt you at all to go up to their website and see if they have a partnership or affiliate program at the bottom of their screen or you can reach out say, Hey I’m on YouTube talking about your products and service. I’d love to work out an affiliate program where I get a percentage of the sales. However, it works for you, You should do that. Because, it’s going to be a great way for you to make the little bits of money that are going to add up to a lot. Adsense Let’s talk about YouTube AdSense. So many people think that YouTube is paying us creators a buttload of money to do things. When in fact, YouTube AdSense oftentimes is one of the lowest forms of income that we can actually make depending on what your niche is. Mine just happens to be social media and small business. You can make less or more amounts of money, but there’s a barrier to entry. In order to qualify for AdSense, you have to have over 4,000 hours of watch time in a 12 month period as well as a 1,000 subscribers on your YouTube channel. Now, this is just one of those things that kind of stinks. They implemented this around 2018 and it’s just one of those things that we all have to do to play the game. YouTube wants to know that you’re serious about creating content so that they can make sure that the right advertisers will show up on your channel to help them and of course, to help you. So in 2020, I made $8,424.31 with my assets. My biggest form of income on this YouTube channel
How Live Streaming Can Help Your Business Grow

You’re always trying to find new ways to grow your business and make sure that what you’re doing online is working for you. In this post, we’re gonna talk about how live streaming can help you grow your business, get you more leads and engagement for your business. As someone who’s a big advocate for using video as a pillar for all their content marketing, live streaming is a really effective and easy way for you to create that video content for you to use for all of your marketing needs. I want to make sure that I’m giving you the best information. I turned to my StreamYard community and asked them, “Hey, business people, how are you using live streaming to grow your business online?” And here are some of the answers that they had to help you make this decision. Authenticity The number one glowing response seemed to be, ‘authenticity with my audience’. When you’re doing edited videos, like what you see here on YouTube, there is a specific amount of editing, text on the screen, taking away things that are not relevant to what you say. And let’s not even get into that blooper situation. When you’re going live, you’re very much more unfiltered and unscripted, so you’re able to kind of stumble and mumble and gaffe your way through this. And it’s one of those things that’s really important for your audience. Get personal! Your audience wants to connect to you as a person. They want to know that you are someone that they can know, that they can trust, that they can have a relationship and a conversation with. You know, when it comes to having an authentic audience, it’s also important to make sure that you’re engaging with that audience as well. Being able to go live isn’t just about projecting your information and leaving it at that. It’s about being able to talk with the people who are on the stream with you. People that are commenting, saying hello, asking questions, being super excited to be there. With any luck you can be asking the right questions and engaging in the right way. Conversations will just be happening organically in the chat that have absolutely nothing to do with you. You can always have people saying “hi”, answering questions for you, and so much more. This is what is so great about live streaming, is being able to engage with your audience live. Have those conversations, comment, call people out, shout out their name. I can’t tell you how excited people get when I’m going live, and I say, “Hey, it’s Mary, thank you so much for joining us in the chat,” or, “Oh, hey, I saw that Bob has this question here, let me pull it up onto the screen and let’s talk about it.” Those are the things that make lives so unique compared to any other kind of content. And it’s definitely worth considering when you’re trying to build a community that’s going to buy from you. Get more exposure with Live streaming Now, for those of us that are struggling to get seen in the very cluttered, very busy news feeds and algorithm fights and all that stuff, live streaming is actually a really great way to get that extra attention. All of the platforms, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, have their own algorithm and preferential treatment when it comes to live streaming. It’s a totally separate part of the code that’s going to say, okay, well they’re posting stuff or there’s a video. There’s a GIF that went up. Ooh! Livestream over here. Ooh, let’s give this a little bit more attention. Who’s going to stop scrolling on the screen, Who’s going to stop their thumb scroll and see what’s happening? What alerts can we send out to your audience to let them know, hey, so-and-so is going live! It’s time to give them some much needed attention and love. And that’s why live streaming is such a great way to really help your content plan stick out. When you go live, you get those additional boosts in your other content as well, because it’s increasing your engagement. This can also really help with things like your watch time and your retention. Facebook and YouTube very specifically want you to have more watching people, watching your content and viewing what you have. The higher your watch time across all platforms, the more those platforms are going to help you. And the longer that someone watches you, the more YouTube and Facebook are like, yes ,this person has watched for so long. Who else is going to watch for so long? It’s also a little bit of a help for monetization reasons. The longer that your watch time is, the more you’re going to be able to reach those monetization milestones that come from Facebook and YouTube. Accountability Now, one of the things that I personally really love about what live streaming does is it really holds me to the fire for accountability. I have told my audience, “Hey, I’m going to be going live at this time every single week.” And I have to show up for them at that time. Like, when I put something out into the world, I really try hard to follow through on it. When you show up regularly, when YouTube, Facebook, all the places, know they can count on you regularly to be somewhere? I cannot tell you how monumentally helpful and impactful it’s going to be for your algorithm and for your audience. This is sort of this old-school idea of media that is kind of a little bit forgotten. I know though, when I was a kid, I used to watch TGIF every Friday, think, you know, think of this is Friday on ABC. And there was those, those two hours, those four shows I watched religiously, and I showed up and I
